A Nighttime Palette of Color
My favorite location to photograph the splendid Paint the Night parade is at the end of Main Street, right before The Hub. This position faces the parade as it comes up Main Street for its second run of the evening. The later performance time means that there are less crowds to contend with, allowing me to find a clear vantage point without having to late a lot time like one would need to do for the early run. Capturing the parade coming up Main Street provides a fantastic backdrop as well, and the centered perspectives with the street allow easy composition and some cinematic results. Here is a series from my last visit to the park, taking in the parade in its return for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration!
