A Luminous Tomorrow

If you haven't noticed the pattern already, we're taking a virtual trip around the world of Disney theme parks this week, now that we're back to non-Halloween and non-holiday posts (for a brief amount of time until Christmas takes over everything).  Today features Shanghai Disneyland and one of its most spectacular areas, Tomorrowland. This version takes on a more organic and light-filled form, dominated by the curving forms of the TRON: Lightcycle Power Run ride building, but also accented by the multiple levels of the land and integration of technology and nature in a clean, integrated presentation.  If the vision of the future was monumental buildings only, the atmosphere would feel lifeless.  It's the combination of landscape and architecture that most effectively craft a space, and Shanghai Disneyland's Tomorrowland marries these two pretty well.  Just admire this scene below and tell me you disagree!
