Doomed to be Dipped

It's Halloween Time, so lets rewind back two years, to my last Oogie Boogie Bash visit.  One of my favorite character Treat Trails of the night was the Judge Doom encounter, which at that time was located semi-backstage behind the Soarin' ride building.  The ominous red set featured the villain of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? glaring at guests and occasionally lowering a quivering animated shoe to its inevitable doom in a vat of Dip.  Apparently, the character stopped doing that mid-season because too many children were traumatized--or so the rumor goes.  I never saw him do it when I visited.  But I still enjoyed how engaged Judge Doom was with his guests, how menacing he built up his presence, and his haughty and playful disdain.  

Last year and this year, this display has moved to Hollywood Land, in the back corner of the area.  I do think the Grizzly Peak location felt more atmospheric because it was sort of secluded. But I'm sure this year's Treat Trail experience with Judge Doom is still superb!
