Outside Remy's Bistro

To be perfectly blunt, Walt Disney Studios isn't really much to look at.  The park was built on the cheap at around the same time that Disney California Adventure opened, but while DCA has drastically improved over the years (and was well ahead of Walt Disney Studios upon opening), Paris' second gate has languished over the past decade--a testament to the relative failures of a prior era.

The Ratatouille mini-land, inside Toon Studios, is a rare exception.  Opened a few years ago, it recreates the world of Pixar's Ratatouille, and while placing a Paris-themed land in a park just outside of real Paris might seem as logical as designing a theme park dedicated to California inside California, at least the quality is immersive and charming.  Though it may be a bit kitschy, they've certainly recreated the essence of the city... outside of the city.
