Hotels from the Lagoon

The Aulani Hotel & Resort may grab the spotlight on this blog on account of its Disney connections, but it is not the only fancy luxury hotel in the area.  In fact, Ko Olina has a series of getaway paradise lodging locations for those looking for all-inclusive vacations.  And at Ko Olina Lagoon #1, Aulani isn't even the only hotel facing this waterfront.  Next door, the Four Seasons Resort also offers high-end services and restaurants and experiences (including a great dining establishment in Mina's Fish House).  The Four Seasons actually used to be a J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa back in the day... beyond six years ago.  But the property exchanged hands, giving Aulani a new neighbor.

None of this is pertinent to the Disney part of the area, but it's kind of interesting history nonetheless!  Here's a nighttime photo from the lagoon, looking back at both hotels.
