A Desert by the Sea

I've been posting Christmas photos because the holiday season is underway at the Disneyland Resort, but because it's not yet Thanksgiving (after which the Christmas season properly starts--despite what retail says), I'll intersperse with a non-holiday post here and there. Today's post takes us to the opposite connotations of Christmas--desert and coastline and palm trees instead of snow and village and evergreens.  Arabian Coast is Tokyo Disney Sea's Aladdin-inspired port of call that features an oasis-like waterfront area and an Agrabah-inspired village area.  Situated next to Lost River Delta, the transition from jungle to desert is somehow done seamlessly, and little details like a little sailing barge and assorted pottery and goods along the sand create a really nice ambiance--which is pretty much everywhere at this gorgeous theme park!
