The Ghostly Galaxy Gone

It's been eight years since Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy graced the Tomorrowland Halloween Time line-up.  An incredibly popular and hair-raising attraction, this projection-laden overlay of the popular and classic attraction brought a sense of space terror to Disneyland Park.  Especially at night, when projections covered the iconic roof of the Space Mountain show building with pulsating colors and nebulous chromatic shifts, the whole ambiance of Tomorrowland shifted to something much eerier.  And sure, by the time it had hit its last year (though we never knew it at the time), it was showing its age, with fading projections and no experiential changes.  But it was still a shame to remove this version from the line-up permanently, just because Halloween at the Disneyland Resort was shifting more toward Disney California Adventure.

Perhaps one day, they'll bring back a newer and better version! That would be a treat!
