Spirited Ornament Valley
Halloween Time is upon us, and that means a transformation of spooky proportions in both parks for the autumn season! In Disney California Adventure, Halloween has once again taken over much of the park after doing so for the first time last year. That means some really fantastic overlays and photogenic opportunities, including in Cars Land, where "Haul-O-Ween" means that everything looks extra spooky--in spectacular fashion!
My favorite fall scene in Cars Land is the breath-taking Ornament Valley at night. During this time of year, the rocks are cast a rainbow of colors, instead of the usual warm red hues. Purples and greens bathe the geology, with a little bit of yellow and red sprinkled in. It's a very dramatic change from the norm, and I find it absolutely beautiful. And it's not until one stands there in person, taking in the enveloping and chromatic landscape, that the full effect really sinks home.
Yes, as far as I'm concerned, Halloween Time is the most wonderful time of year. And it's because of features like this!
