Disney's Ballast Point

Recently, Ballast Point finally made its long-awaited debut in Downtown Disney.  Occupying the upper floor above what used to be Ridemakerz (and before that, Department 56) and part of Build-A-Bear, this new flagship is the latest in Downtown Disney's yearlong transformation and refresh.  The restaurant features a gastropub menu in a family friendly environment laden with nautical touches both mythical and whimsical.  Dining occurs indoors in an industrial chic space popular these days and outdoors on a newly created patio above Wetzel's Pretzels.  And of course, there is plenty of Ballast Point craft beer for booze lovers.  There's also a souvenir store for fans to purchase Ballast Point merchandise and beer to go.

Here are just a few shots from a recent nighttime stop by the venue.  Cheers!

Ballast Point's luminous signage outside.

Guests go upstairs to access the actual restaurant. The first floor is only the lobby.

Plenty of taps on display on this cool feature wall.

A central bar area is open seating, first come, first serve.

This location is also home to test labs and will feature special brews available only at this specific Ballast Point.

More sitdown dining further inside, though it is reservation only.

The outdoor patio is open seating.  Food is ordered at the bar, and then guests find a table and wait for it to come out.

It's a nice view overlooking Downtown Disney, gazing across the redone Naples Ristorante outdoor seating too!
