Painting the 70th

Ten years ago, Paint the Night debuted as part of Disneyland's 60th anniversary celebration, providing a new generation with the evolution of the classic and beloved Main Street Electrical Parade.  But this instant hit hasn't graced the Disneyland Resort since 2018, when it was running in Disney California Adventure as part of the park's Pixar Fest seasonal event.  But now, with Disneyland 70th anniversary upon us, Paint the Night has returned.  It is just as bright and colorful as ever, providing beautiful visuals, a super catchy theme song in Owl City's "When Can We Do This Again," and fantastic energy and connection.  There are a few tweaks this time around.  The opening lines of the parade are slightly different, the end interlaces the Jonas Brothers' "Celebrate!" song created for the 70th anniversary, and there's a little less of the Main Street Electrical Parade theme than before, but the floats are the same as the original, and the wonder is just as jubilant.

I managed to snag a nice angle of the parade at Town Square a week ago despite arriving pretty close to the parade start time, and I'm happy with how these photos between other guests' heads came out!
