Valley of the Hawaiian Isle

Normally, I don't start posting photos from Aulani until closer to the summer, but the past couple of weeks has brought warmer than normal temperatures through Southern California and made it feel like it's summer already, even though we're still technically in winter!  As long as we're feeling the heat, might as well think about the tropical paradise that one could escape to during the hot summer days.  Disney's Aulani Resort is spectacular placemaking.   Though it has no theme park components technically, it is immersive and scenic just like Disney's theme parks around the world.  Only this property celebrates its Hawaiian home with architecture, landscaping, entertainment, art, and respect that is clearly inspired by the local island culture and history.  And the result is something that is idyllic and gorgeous!
