A DisneyBounding We Will Go

As I've explained before, DisneyBounding is a creative fashion exercise of visiting a Disney Park dressed in an outfit that is evocative of a Disney character (or ride or idea or movie) but does not overtly mimic the costuming of said character or intellectual property.  It can be surprisingly fun to identify the inspirations of DisneyBounders, as some of the outfits can be subtle.  This is what distinguishes DisneyBounding from Disney Cosplay, which strives more for authentic looking recreations of famous looks.  In contrast, Disney Bounding wouldn't look out of place outside of the park either, and it's a nifty way to show off a little Disney fandom.

Dapper Day in particular seems to really attract DisneyBounders.  Though DisneyBounding isn't restricted to Dapper Day, the unofficial event has become a bit of a showcase of sorts.  Here are some DisneyBounds I happened to run across during this past Sunday's installment of the fan favorite specialty day!

The Indiana Jones Adventure on the left, the Haunted Mansion on the right.

Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde--or should it be Jude Hopps and Nicole Wilde?

Some Mary Poppins inspiration.

Jafar and Iago.

Mickeys and Minnies.

Influence from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This crew was inspired by Up.

This too, to an extent.
Meeko from Pocahontas, complete with a handmade Flit, the hummingbird.

These Toy Story pals sure got a friend in each other!

Starlord and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Merida and her dapper date.

Peter Pan and Tiger Lily.

And finally, this absolutely adorable Mary Poppins couple.
