The Wharf in Winter

Pacific Wharf is one of the more understated themed areas of Disney California Adventure, with no actual rides and simply dining establishments and a museum-type exhibit, so its holiday scenery appropriately follows the same character.  Though there are some holiday lights in the food court portion of the wharf, the more overt example of the winter season are three buoys floating in the wharf itself, strung up with holiday lights, each with its own glowing star.  They form abstract Christmas trees, and they evoke a lovely, quiet seaside holiday scene.  It's calm, simple, and beautiful in a minimalistic way, and it's actually one of my favorite little parts of the park.  It doesn't have to be extravagant to be a holiday park treasure.

Three floating Christmas buoys create a placid holiday scene at Pacific Wharf.
