The Makahiki View

The Aulani Resort is filled with a lot of wonderful atmosphere and enriched ambiance, and one of the really nice environments is the outdoor patio a Makahiki — The Bounty of the Islands, a family-friendly Disney dining experience featuring preset menus that make use of the fresh island ingredients to provide a Hawaiian feast befitting of the harvest-themed namesake of the restaurant.  The outdoor area opens up to the Waikolohe Valley, the central courtyard space of the resort, and the views of the grand hotel towers and the tropical foliage are pretty sensational.  I haven't had a chance to actually dine here yet, because both times I've visited have been day trips planned just a day or two prior, rendering me unable to secure reservations in advance, but just just gives me another reason to go back in the future!
