Ruins of the Idol
For the longest time, one of my dream shots at Disneyland was to get a crisp, in-focus shot of the centerpiece of the Temple of the Forbidden Eye--the crumbling skull that represents Mara within the central cavern of Indiana Jones Adventure. Guests onboard the off-road vehicle traverse a rickety bridge, pausing briefly in the middle before restarting and chugging along. That provides a very brief moment for anyone seated on the left seat of their row to snap a photo, but the whole ride is so jostly--and the moment of pause so brief--that getting a crisp shot is still very challenging. Add the very low light conditions, and it took me a while to actually get the shot I wanted. But persistence pays off, and eventually, I was able to check off the following photo off my Disneyland photo bucket list!
