Volcano in Paradise

Verdant Hawaii is known for its lush, tropical landscape, and that is lovingly reflected in the outdoors of the Aulani Resort and Spa.  In what they call Waikolohe Valley, green vegetation surrounds a central volcano that houses the resort's two water slides, which take guests into the Waikolohe Stream lazy river.  Climbing the peak affords some elevated views of the "valley," though looking out from the balcony behind the main hotel lobby works too.  It's a wonderful and invigorating vista, befitting the spirit of island paradise!

The Pu'u Kilo volcano rises above the vegetation of the Waikolohe Valley.
