Purple seems to be synonymous with sinister spookiness during Halloween. It's a bit of a villain's color, and the Oogie Boogie overlay on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure seems to support this. At night, there is purple illumination everywhere--to the extent that it really messes with a camera's white balance. But it's a wonderful atmosphere, and I couldn't be happier with how two themes collided--
Nightmare Before Christmas and 1930s Los Angeles. Somehow, it works!
