A Golden View of Tomorrow

Disneyland Paris' Discoveryland is a glimmering, timeless iteration of the Tomorrowlands that had traditionally occupied the eastern sector of previous Magic Kingdoms.  But whereas those previous Tomorrowland had always tended to become outdated, Discoveryland was designed in a way to project a retro-future that never was, allowing it to still look fantastically forward-looking even as the years have gone by.  A lot of this has to do with the organic architectural forms integrated with dramatic landscape and water features, and the most pronounced example probably occurs around the Space Mountain lagoon, where the Mysteries of the Nautilus walk-through attraction is located.  On a sunny afternoon, this area literally glows, and the resulting ambiance is wonderfully magical and optimistic!

Placid waters soak in the golden hour sunset light in Discoveryland.
