Triton's Spires

Mermaid Lagoon might be Tokyo Disney Sea's least epic port of call, but that doesn't mean this area is any slouch.  In fact, for a land that's primarily themed to appeal to young children, this area is packed with detail and fun visual features that create a kaleidoscope of color!

The land is divided between an interior portion where the bulk of the attractions lie in an "undersea" symphony of fun plus an outdoor area that features Scuttle's Scooters and Flounder's Flying Fish Coaster.  It also offers a view of the whimsical and fantastical shapes that form King Triton's castle, with a prism of oceanic, organic forms providing a very photogenic skyline amidst the Disney Sea park splendor.

During my two trips to Tokyo Disney Sea back in 2015 and 2016, I didn't spend nearly as much time scouting different angles and capturing the ambiance of this area as I should have, because even though it doesn't have any particularly boldly distinguishing landmarks other than the aforementioned castle outline, there are lots of great little details scattered across the theming and the ambiance.  It's something I'll need to pay closer attention to the next time I visit!
