Glimpses of the Maka'ala

Aulani's entrance lobby structure is a wonderful space from inside and out. But I most love the angles of the shapely and distinctive outline of the hotel entrance from the Waikolohe Valley courtyard side of the property, which offers great glimpses framed by tropical vegetation to impart a sense of discovery and organic tropical nestled placement for the hotel.  From some views, the Maka'ala almost looks like an ancient temple that has grown with the surrounding rainforest.  Of course, we know that's not the case because of the overall environment.  But it's fun to capture an imaginative visual story through photographic composition!
