The Glow of Fantasy

I've always found Disneyland's Fantasyland to be beautiful. The articulate detailing of the architecture, rich theming, verdant landscaping, and whimsical atmosphere all make for an alluring environment that really does sweep a guest into the flights of fantasy.  It's a land of dreams... of childhood wishes.  And I recall many a happy day spent here in the most timeless of the Magic Kingdom themed areas.

It wasn't always quite like this, of course. When Disneyland first opened, and for many years afterward, Fantasyland had more of a carnival scene, with flat facades and more open spaces.  But a wonderful refurbishment in 1983 resulted in the charming Bavarian village guests experience today.  I, for one, am most happy for it.

Peace and beauty in the early morning hours at Fantasyland.
