Always a Wonderful World of Color

It's been two and a half months of Disney withdrawal since the country went into a Stay At Home state in the wake of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, and this is the longest I've gone without visiting the parks since getting an Annual Pass back in 2007.  As such, from time to time, I find myself missing the place and mentally playing through various soundtracks of the parks to relive happy memories.  A recurring one has been World of Color--Disney California Adventure's dazzling nighttime spectacular.  A shimmering, shining, saturating display of fountains, lasers, pyrotechnics, and lights, World of Color calls off the classic Walt Disney television series but also speaks to the optimism and spirit of the community at large, unifying it under a spell of Disney magic.

Unity is a thing that's in short supply these days.  It seems like we're all in disagreement more than ever, exposing our own prejudices and biases.  But if there's one thing I've learned through observation and travels, it's that differences are worth celebrating, not shunning, and we'd all be better off remembering that we're more alike than different.  Love each other.  Cherish each other.  Take care of each other.  That's the template for a wonderful world.

The carousel of color throughout the world is something well worth celebrating.
