Christmas at the Five & Dime

This photo combines several tips for successful Disneyland photography:
  • Shoot at night and wait until everyone has left to get those wide open and empty people photos.
  • Use a unique perspective (in this case, lower than what people are used to seeing).
  • Utilize leading lines (the low perspective exaggerates the lines toward the Five & Dime entrance.
  • Pick a festive time for extra decorations.
Well, those are the trendy steps, anyway.  This is not really a spectacular shot, but I like it for its peaceful portrayal of Buena Vista Street.

A low level perspective of the Buena Vista Five & Dime during the holidays.
