Flo's Reflections

It rained last Friday, and for the first time in a year, I was at the Disneyland Resort when it happened.  Better yet, it rained, then stopped raining, allowing me to take photos of lovely reflections throughout the park without actually wetting my camera.

On this particular night, I took a different tact than normal and intentionally went for very low levels practically at the ground.  The flip out LCD screen on my new Nikon D750 (purchased in December as a second body for my vacation to Antarctica in January) proved to be very useful, since it allowed me to compose a scene without having to lie flat against the damp and dirty pavement.

Things are a lot different at ground level, but reflections provide a lovely enhancement of a regular scene, adding almost literally another dimension.  This puddle at the corner of Flo's V8 Cafe proved to be a lovely feature.  Not only did it help generate this shot, but a Disney Photopass photographer was also using it to create unique portraits of anyone interested in getting their pictures taken.  Too bad it doesn't rain more in Southern California, but that does help those rainy evenings feel more special!

Puddles in the water provide a lovely mirror for Flo's V8 Cafe.
