Time to Do This Again

Today is a momentous day... not because it's Friday the 13th (though that is also an anticipated date for some), but because today marks the return of the Paint the Night parade to the Disneyland Resort!  Last seen early last year, this fan favorite celebration of the Disneyland 60th Anniversary is moving over to California Adventure through the summer season as part of the Resort's summer promotion this year, Pixar Fest.  Although Paint the Night is more than Pixar, it does feature Pixar floats, and the move to DCA is part of an attempt to balance crowds across both parks as busy periods get more and more crowded.

It will be interesting to see this Electrical Parade wind through California Adventure's parade corridor--through Paradise Pier, down the main thoroughfare of Pacific Wharf, around Carthay Circle, and through Hollywood Land.  And with a new Incredibles float and content from Up and Inside Out, it will definitely have some amount of freshness.  So when can we do this again?  Tonight!

The beginning of the Paint the Night parade as it was last seen.
Tinker Bell and Peter Pan lead the way.
Tink soars through the air.
And she sparkles with illumination!
It's quite a glowing scene, and pretty spectacular.
And Peter sits atop a giant drum, reminiscent of the old Main Street Electrical Parade!
