Portal of Agrabah

The Arabian Coast might be intended as an iteration of Aladdin's Agrabah come to life, but it reminds me of real life places too.  The minarets that rise above the skyline speak to Islamaic architecture, while the narrow marketplaces harken to countless cities with similar layouts in the Middle East.  The plaza in the photo below, however, makes me think of Morocco, with its medinas that expand and contract and converge onto a main plaza space.  It's a wonderful surprise to stumble onto this after navigating the narrow and winding streets, and it almost feels like steeping into another world when going through those archways.  A whole new world, one might even say!
