Frontierland's Atmosfear
Today, we go back in time to the days when the Disneyland Resort's separate ticket Halloween event resided in Disneyland Park. Yes, before the Oogie Boogie Bash, there was Mickey's Halloween Party (itself an offshoot of Walt Disney's World's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party). The event offered extra Halloween ambiance beyond what was provided in the parks, and even little plusses, like this skeleton projection in Frontierland, added to the spooky environment. Mickey's Halloween Party promised shorter lines for rides, Trick or Treat Trails (though not with the villains photo ops they've become today), separate character meet-and-greets, and some event-specific entertainment. It was a great event, though it likely was moved because it took out too much time out of the more popular Disneyland Park that could otherwise go to regular park admission guests.
