A Glowing Autopia
Disneyland Paris' Discoveryland is a marvel of a Tomorrowland, featuring a future that never was and a timeless, steampunk Jules Vernean style that has managed to be the only Tomorrowland in Disney's arsenal that hasn't gotten outdated (the jury's still out for Shanghai Disneyland, which isn't old enough to be evaluated for this and won't be old enough for a while). The style of Discoveryland heavily influenced the 1995 Tomorrowland makeover at Disneyland California, but somehow, the results weren't quite the same. Maybe it's the organic architecture and space making at Discoveryland that sells it, or maybe it's the sweeping forms, or a better use of the color palette. Whatever the case, this area is a dream walk through and photograph. And even very traditional Disneyland attractions like the Autopia attraction can look sleek and retro-futuristic!
