Celebrating the 70th at Downtown Disney
It's been a long while since I've done a photo run at Downtown Disney, and over the past couple of years, there have been a fair amount of changes in the shopping district of the Disneyland Resort. Different restaurants and stores have moved out, and new ones have moved in, and we're getting closer and closer to having the last of the original tenants no longer occupy this zone (well, World of Disney is likely to always remain).
Downtown Disney is also frequently seasonally decorated. It's noticeable for Halloween and Christmas and also occurs at other times of the year. Right now, the Disneyland 70th Anniversary "Celebrate Happy" campaign is front and center, and there are a few of the sculptural emblems scattered throughout Downtown Disney to mark the occasion. Here are photos of a couple of those locations, taken late at night after everything has closed.
