From the Canal to the Volcano

I have written countless times in praise of how incredibly gorgeous and magnificent Tokyo Disney Sea is, and the biggest reason it is so mesmerizingly glorious is because of its romantic ability to transport guests to a convincingly realistic feel of romantic travel destinations both real and imaginary.  In the case of today's photo, it's the splendor of magnificent Italy.  The foreground is from the Venice neighborhood of the park's Mediterranean Harbor entrance area.  In the distance is the iconic Mount Prometheus of the park's central Mysterious Island port of call.  But it could also function as one of Italy's actual volcanoes, like Mount Vesuvius.  And as such, this feels like it could be a scene from the Italian coastline, instead of a Japanese representation of the Bel Paese.  It's that transportative quality that makes this such a dreamlike park--arguably the most beautiful in the world!
