Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

While the transformation of Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo Square has been a resounding success, one holiday feature of the former seems to have faded away into Yesterland with the newer.  The Christas buoys that formed geometric Christmas trees no longer grace the waterfront of San Fransokyo Square, after being a fixture of the Pacific Wharf Christnas scene. Interestingly, they were present for San Fransokyo's first holiday season, in 2023. But they've been absent the past two years.

'Tis a shame, because they were really great photo ops and carried their own charm. But San Fransokyo Square is still a great transformation of Pacific Wharf nonetheless!

This view of the Torii Gate Bridge during the holidays looks the same as when it's taken not during the holidays.
