Red for the New Year

Today is the first day of the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure, and to commemorate, here's a photo from the festivities two years ago. But rather than photograph from Paradise Park, the area where the Lunar New Year Celebration predominantly takes place, I've jumped over to Hollywood Land to capture a scene that feels in tune with the holiday via its decorations and hue.  Red is everywhere during the Lunar New Year, as it represents prosperity and good fortune.  In this scene, the Red Car Trolleys double up on the color, seemingly reinforcing the well wishes and enhancing the festive banners.  

You won't see this scene anymore, since the Red Car Trolleys ceased operation almost exactly a year ago.  But this is a nice memory from a time that once was!

Red is a dominant color for Lunar New Year, and the Red Car Trolleys blend in just fine with the decorations for this cultural holiday!
