Buttes of Big Thunder

It has been well over a year since Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, a perennial fan favorite, closed down for an extensive refurbishment that included the complete replacement of its roller coaster track, repainting of sets, scenery, and theming, upgrades of the audio-animatronics, and even the sprucing up of new revised scenes.  Originally scheduled to reopen last fall, it remained closed into the winter. And now, with spring less than a month away, the ride has still not reopened.

Never fear, though! The ride has been testing for the past numerous weeks, and very recently, cast members have been given the opportunity to test ride.  It's only a matter of time before the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness opens its doors back to the general public for one adventure of a spin!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been under refurbishment for a while, but its reopening draws near...
Full disclosure: I felt compelled to post something about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, because I haven't done a post in what seems like forever.  Yep, it's been a while since there's been an opportunity to photograph the ride.
