The Palace by the Pier

The first time I ever heard about Poultry Palace at Pixar Pier, I instantly felt like Anger from Inside Out.  It was an irrational and emotional rage, frustration that they Disney designers could take a beautiful Victorianesque seaside boardwalk and throw a cartoonish, caricatured example of architecture onto it.  If Paradise Pier had to be replaced, the point should be to raise the quality, not transplant a soon-to-be-expiring A Bug's Land / Flik's Fun Fair over to a different part of the park.

And yet, they did, and when I take a photograph of a lovely evening scene, full of shining color and elegant forms, appreciate the refurbished facade of Toy Story Midway Mania, and then spot the giant Happy Meal box... well, lets just say that Anger takes over once again.

Pixar Pier looks fantastic at night--with a notable exception.
