Disney California Adventure's Plaza de la Familia is the Halloween offering over at Paradise Park that honors the customs, traditions, and sentiments of Día de los Muertos and celebrates Latin America's contribution to this season's holiday customs.  While it's associated with Halloween because of its calendar proximity, Día de los Muertos is really about remembrance and celebrating family, not about tricks and treats and frights.  It's a familia memorial day that happens to feature colorful and macabre artwork and visualization, which has helped it gained more prominence in our general zeitgeist.
