The Beastly King

Halloween season is about ghouls and ghosts and monsters, so even though this photo isn't actually set during the fall, it's a Lava Monster, which qualifies as a monster, which makes it fitting enough for posting during Halloween.  The Lava Monster is the fearsome climax of Journey to the Center of the Earth, at Tokyo Disney Sea.  Guests encounter him at the end of the slower-paced dark ride section, before accelerating out and exiting through Mount Prometheus to escape the clutches of this fearsome beast.  From a technical perspective, this animatronic is stunning and awe-inspiring and rather frightening too. Definitely no treat to encounter!
