The Downtown Cycle

When I mentioned the other day that we're getting closer and closer to having no more original tenants at Downtown Disney, I meant it.  Off memory, I can only count four properties that were at Downtown Disney back when it opened in 2001: World of Disney, Naples Ristorante e Bar, Wetzel's Pretzels, and the photo below--the Lego Store.  If you want to count Jazz Kitchen, you could, but that was rebranded and remodeled from its original Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen name.  Indeed, everything else has come and gone--ESPN Zone, Rainforest Cafe, the AMC Theater, Catal and Uva Bar, and several more.  Like Walt Disney famously said, Disneyland will never be complete. And so it seems, Downtown Disney too!

  1. That's great! I love seeing pics from Downtown Disney. It is so often time overlooked. Especially compared to Disney Springs.

    1. I go through my stretches but definitely don't photograph the district as often as it deserves!
