In the Jungle Scene
Although Adventureland is a pretty small themed land compared to the others at Disneyland, it has its moments of immersion, and the strongest example of this is the middle of this part of Disneyland, where a jungle atmosphere really prevails around the Jungle Cruise and entrance of the Indiana Jones Adventure. The dense foliage and immersive, vernacular architecture weave a rich atmosphere of escape and exotic tropicale, and here, away from the transition to Main Street or Frontierland and New Orleans Square, Adventureland really seems ripe and rich with exploration and the unknown. It's an example of escapist placemaking that Disney really excels in!
