Like a scene straight out of Aladdin, the Arabian Coast at Tokyo Disney Sea captures the wonder and desert beauty of a romanticized medina, with narrow, winding streets, trellised overhangs, sprouting palms, and earthen, vernacular architecture enriching a wondrous ambiance. By day, the hustle and bustle of the park crowds could very well play the part of the citizenry of Agrabah. But by night, after guests have gone home, a silent spell falls upon the land. The cool blue and purple hues illuminated upon the intricate stone and rough dried mud create an exotic sense of transport. It all adds up to a most immersive sense of place-making--one that Tokyo Disney excels so much in doing!
