Off to Never Never Land

There have been a plethora of new unveilings for the Disneyland 60th anniversary celebration.  From a new parade to a new fireworks show, a re-imagined Matterhorn, a return within the Haunted Mansion, an expanded Grizzly Peak themed land, and a new World of Color show, there are lots of great, fresh attractions to experience.  But there are also new features to be found less prominently too, and one of them is the new store windows at the Disney Emporium.

The windows were last updated for the 50th anniversary, so a change was in order.  A couple of weeks ago, the first window was unveiled, an amazing scene from Peter Pan that shows the Darling children inside their house, greeted by Peter Pan, which then literally transforms into a scene of them flying above London.  This needs to be seen in action to be truly appreciated, but here are a couple of shots of the model, taken during the Diamond Celebration 24-Hour Kickoff event, to whet your appetite.

Peter Pan greets Wendy, John, and Michael in their house.

After a minute or two, the interior scene lowers and revolves to reveal the building exterior, with the kids flying.

Looks like they're off to the second star to the right!
