The 60th Anniversary Castle
Over the past few months, we've seen Sleeping Beauty Castle slowly become "bedazzled" and decorated for its 60th Anniversary decorations. I've been a little critical in the past, but now that the final version is complete, I think I'm starting to come around. While there are still details that I think are much overly gaudy, the overall effect is nice. Admittedly, it is very elaborate and certainly not sleek and elegant, but there's a regal celebratory flare to it, and especially with the removal of the "diamond domes" atop the turrets, the whole presentation looks nice. I guess it's true: I shouldn't judge a book by its cover... at least before it's finished!
