Inside the Christmas Jamboree

At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, today is the last day of the 2015-2016 holiday season.  So how else to celebrate than to feature one last set of Christmas photos from... Tokyo?

Yes, today, we feature the Country Bears in their whimsical holiday show at Tokyo Disneyland: the Jingle Bell Jamboree, their Christmas version of the normal Country Bear Jamboree.  Confession time: when they played at Disneyland Park, I never once saw the Country Bears.  I know, I know, one of the all-time Disney classics... but when I was a child, I never really knew to look for it, hidden in the back corner of Critter Country at Disneyland, so I never developed an attachment.  In Tokyo, however, I had a chance to rectify my inexperience, so watch the Country Bears I did.  Since it was all in Japanese, I had no idea what was happening, but it all proved entertaining nonetheless!

Here's a look...

It's showtime inside the Country Bear Theater!

Buff, Max, and Melvin are on hand, er, head, to witness the festivities.

Our host and emcee and ringmaster for the show, Henry, the friendly brown bear.

The show involves a cavalcade of characters, like piano playing Gomer.
The Five Bear Rugs appear to play some Christmas tunes.

Zeke and Tennessee Bear...

Zeb-Zeb on the fiddle, with Ted-Ted in the background.

Back to Henry.

...who plays a little tune.

And then back to the band!

Elvis-impersonating Liver Lips McGrowl makes another appearance.

Then it's back to Gomer for an interlude.

Terrence lays a tune and is joined in a duet by a penguin.

The Sun Bonnet Trio sings "Sleigh Ride" to the attentive crowd.

Then it's onto Ernest on the fiddle.

Another appearance by The Five Bear Rugs...

Then Trixie descends for a number.

She sings in conjunction with Henry.

The bison, the buck, and the moose approve.

Of course, you can't have Country Bears show without Big Al!

Henry reappears, this time accompanied by a singing racoon.

And then it's time to wrap the show up.

Practically all the characters come back onto the stage.

And it's one lovely fete to end the show!
